In this expansion for Eldritch Horror, players are intrepid investigators traversing the globe in an attempt to thwart the cataclysmic rise of Nyarlathotep. This ancient being is known as the “Messenger of the Outer Gods”, and he is the only Ancient One that still actively walks among humanity. The investigators must collaboratively work to stop the cults springing up to serve his many guises, or Nyarlathotep will gain enough strength to open the Ultimate Gate, ushering in an unthinkable doom.

As the art director, I gave this artist free reign on the illustration because he was a longtime artist in the series. I wrote the art brief, which included the setting and specific characters to be included, and through his design and my direction, we created a haunting and thrilling scene, playing with warm and cool colors.
